Welcome sport fans to "The Real Cat and Carrot Situation". The blog, we hope, will provide you with a variety of whimsical sporting pleasures inspired by the more obscure elements in the world of sport.Our area of "expertise" is football but the blog will try and cover as wide a range of sports as is entertainingly possible. We are particularly keen, for instance, to better our knowledge of the ever-fascinating world of Kendo and other lesser appreciated sports such as rugby.
The blog is written under the guidance of Toby Maxwell with regular contributions from a host of his most trusted, knowledgeable and handsome acquaintances.
We must first express our grattitude to footballing icon and our greatest inspiration in life: David Pleat. Thank you David you are of constant motivation to us all and are held in utmost admiration in our minds. We wouldn't be here without you.
For those of you wondering as to the relevance of the title of this blog, it is with great pride we reveal that it comes from the philosophical mind of Mr. Pleat himself. Life and sport at times truly feel like a real cat and carrot situation. Whatever that means.
I hope you enjoy the features which will grow in time and hopefully be regularly updated. Any feedback is always welcome and all ideas and comments will be thoughtfully considered (but most likely dismissed).
